A Figma plugin
Pages that flow.
In Figma.
One template for the page. Rules for the type. Any length.
How it works
Three steps, then it looks after itself.
Make a page template
A component with your header and footer, a Slot as the content area, and a text layer reading "Page {n} of {total}". Pagestream recognises it.
Drop in your blocks
Put your content in one vertical auto-layout frame: headings, paragraphs, cards, tables, instances, groups. Order it the way you want it read.
Flow, then keep editing
Press Flow. Pages appear, numbered. Edit anything, anywhere. Pagestream moves only what has to cross a page, so nothing flickers and your cursor stays put.
Keep with next, split by row, split by line, repeat header, protect the edit, number the pages.
{n}, {total}, {date} and {section}, filled on every page after every pass.
One payment through Figma. Free for documents up to three pages.
Automatic reflow waits for you to stop typing, then moves only what must move.
What it does
The rules a typesetter would expect.
Blocks move whole
A card, a chart or a signed-off component never gets cut. If it does not fit, it goes to the next page intact.
Paragraphs split at a line
Text breaks at the end of the last line that fits. Styles stay on both parts. Reflow joins them back before it paginates again.
Tables split by row
Tag a block [split] and it breaks between its rows, with the header row repeated on the next page.
Headings keep with next
A heading never ends a page. It moves with the block that follows it.
Reflow as you edit
Tick one box and the pages re-paginate half a second after you pause. The block you are typing in is never touched.
Page numbers that update
{n} and {total} in your template become live numbers, on every page, after every pass.
See it work
Seventy-eight seconds, no voiceover.
A template built from scratch, the tokens, a source frame, Flow into three pages, typing that reflows across all three, a block added and a section deleted.

Questions
The things people ask first.
Does it work with my existing components?
Yes. Any auto-layout block flows: text, frames, groups and component instances. The template is a normal component; the content area is a Figma Slot, so pages stay linked to it and header changes propagate.
What happens to a paragraph that does not fit?
It breaks at the end of the last line that fits, with styles kept on both parts. The break is remembered, and Reflow joins the parts before paginating again, so you can edit either part freely.
Will it move things while I type?
Only in automatic mode, and only blocks that have to cross a page. The block your cursor is in is never moved, split or joined until you click out.
Can I use a table?
Name the block with [split] and it breaks between its rows, repeating a first row named Header. Keep the name off and the table moves whole.
Why not a subscription?
Because a pagination tool should cost less than the hour it saves on the first document. One payment, through Figma, and every update to this version is included.
